The Medical Transportation Program at Wabauskang First Nation provides assistance with travel for medical appointments outside the community. Our goal is to ensure that all members have access to essential healthcare services, including doctor visits, hospital care, and specialized treatments.
Our Services
🏡 Personal Care Assistance – Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
💉 Medical & Nursing Care – Access to home-based healthcare services, medication management, and chronic illness support.
🥗 Meal Preparation & Nutrition Support – Assistance with meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparing healthy meals.
🧹 Housekeeping & Home Support – Light housekeeping, laundry, and safety checks to ensure a clean and comfortable home.
🌿 Cultural & Traditional Wellness – Access to traditional healing, Elder visits, and land-based wellness activities.
🚗 Medical Transportation Support – Assistance with transportation to medical appointments.
Who Can Access This Program?
The Home and Community Care Program is available to Wabauskang First Nation members who:
✅ Have chronic health conditions or disabilities requiring home care.
✅ Need assistance with daily activities to remain independent at home.
✅ Require temporary support after surgery, illness, or hospital discharge.
How to Join
