Our Health Services Department offers a variety of programs to promote wellness, prevent illness, and provide care for those in need.
Our Health Programs & Services
🏥 Primary Health Care – Access to medical professionals, check-ups, and referrals for specialized care.
💉 Medical Transportation Program – Assistance with travel for medical appointments outside the community.
🍎 Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative – Education, prevention, and support for diabetes management.
🤰 Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program – Support for expectant parents and newborn care.
👶 Healthy Babies, Healthy Children – Guidance, resources, and home visits for young families.
🧠 Mental Health Program – Counseling, crisis support, and traditional healing services.
🚑 Emergency & First Aid Services – Immediate care and coordination for medical emergencies.
🌿 Traditional Healing & Cultural Wellness – Access to Elders, land-based healing, and Indigenous medicine.
Who Can Access This Program?
Health services are available to all Wabauskang First Nation members, with some programs extending to families and caregivers. All services are confidential and culturally sensitive.
